This unit focuses on the development and delivery of diverse AI programmes and courses. It aims to provide comprehensive educational resources that cover various aspects of AI, tailored to different learning levels and objectives. It aims also to equip learners with the necessary knowledge and skills in AI, fostering an understanding of its ethical and responsible use in various scenarios. It includes designing curriculum, conducting workshops, seminars, and online courses, and offering hands-on training in AI technologies.
This unit concentrates on advancing AI research, particularly in areas relevant to educational application. It aims to push the boundaries of AI research, focusing on innovations that can be directly applied to enhance educational practices and methodologies. It facilitates conducting in-depth studies, publishing research findings, and fostering collaborations with academic and industry partners for practical AI applications in education.
This unit acts as a crucial link between the research and education unit. IIt ensures that the AI approaches developed in the research unit are effectively implemented and applied in educational settings. It aims to translate AI research findings into practical applications, aligning them with the requirements of educational scenarios and facilitating knowledge transfer. It is also about developing prototypes, conducting pilot tests, and organizing workshops and training sessions for educators and students.
Units such as AI Prototyping as a Service, the collaboration/resource exchange platform, and the MyAI University platform are integral to all units. They provide essential resources like data, models, and technological support, facilitating research, application, and education activities. The management and coordination of these units, including their integration and inter-unit communication but also execution of activities, are overseen by a dedicated team. In essence, the Centre of Excellence for Responsible AI and Education is envisioned as a dynamic and collaborative ecosystem. It aims to synergize research, application, and education in AI, fostering a responsible and ethical approach to AI in educational contexts.
