26th Science Picnic

The 26th Science Picnic was a large-scale public science event organised by Polish Radio and the Copernicus Science Centre, bringing together more than 1000 exhibitors from Poland and abroad. PJAIT participated as one of the exhibitors, presenting student projects, robotics, automation, mobile technologies, drones, educational technologies, and other practical applications of emerging technologies. The event also supported EUonAIR Awareness Raising activities by introducing a broad public audience to artificial intelligence, technological development, and their potential applications in an accessible and interactive format.

The PJAIT stand programme included interactive demonstrations and presentations prepared by student clubs and representatives of the Academy:

RoboLab – PJAIT Robotics Student Club: presentation of robotics and human–machine interaction projects, including an interactive third arm following the user’s gaze, a robot capable of playing checkers, and the robot’s integrated base.

PJAIT Mobile Device Networks Student Club – SUM: demonstration of a water computer using liquid flow, mechanical elements, and servomotors to perform arithmetic operations.

PJAIT Research and Development Centre in Bytom: presentation of technologies including drones, a Photon educational robot, and a thermal imaging camera, accompanied by discussions about their applications in education, research, and other areas.

EUonAIR Awareness Raising Component: dissemination activities focused on artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and their practical applications, integrated into the wider programme of technological demonstrations at the PJAIT stand.
