Dear partners,

We are delighted to invite you to the Symposium on Behavioral AI in Education, Work, and Decision-Making, which will take place at ESSCA School of Management, Paris, on 8–9 April 2026.

The aim of the symposium is to bring together researchers from the social, behavioral, and computational sciences working on these issues, with a particular focus on implications for education, the workplace, and everyday decision-making.

The symposium will feature keynote talks by leading scholars, practitioners, and policymakers working at the intersection of behavioral science and AI:

Jean-François Bonnefon (Toulouse School of Economics): CNRS senior research director and cognitive psychologist whose work focuses on moral decision-making and the ethics of advanced AI. Professor Bonnefon is also one of the co-authors of the MIT's Moral Machines Experiment.

Phanish Puranam (INSEAD): Roland Berger Chaired Professor of Strategy and Organization Design, known for research on how organizations adapt to and work with algorithms and AI.

Thomas Coustenoble (Microsoft): Director of Education and Research at Microsoft France, leading initiatives at the intersection of AI, education, and research partnerships.

Erwan Paitel (French Ministry of Education): Inspector General of Education, Sport and Research (IGESR) and former rapporteur of France’s Commission on Artificial Intelligence.

In addition to the academic program, we will be organizing a symposium dinner, providing an informal opportunity to continue discussions and strengthen exchanges.
