EUonAIR Advisory Board Meeting

EUonAIR held an Advisory Board meeting on 9 December 2025 (Zoom), bringing together Advisory Board members and Work Package leaders to review progress and to discuss priority ethical questions related to AI in higher education.

Work Package leaders presented key results, challenges, and questions for the Advisory Board. Updates covered alliance-wide coordination and sustainability, the evolving course catalogue and student engagement strategy for MyAI University, governance and workload balance across partners, responsible AI and open innovation activities, the rollout of the Holistic Mobility Support Center and mobility agreements, progress on the MyAI University platform (including beta testing plans and the metaverse layer), Smart & Green UniverCity initiatives and stakeholder engagement, and progress on communications, visibility, and partner reporting.

A major outcome of the meeting was the Advisory Board’s unanimous approval of the EUonAIR Code of Ethics for Avatar Use, reinforcing shared principles on human dignity, consent, privacy and data responsibility, inclusivity, academic integrity, and responsible AI practices. Partners also discussed how avatars could be used appropriately in education and student support services, with emphasis on transparency, careful evaluation, and alignment with legal and regulatory requirements (including the EU AI Act).

The Advisory Board closed with positive feedback on EUonAIR’s early progress.
