EUonAIR Event Explores AI-Driven Solutions for Green and Smart Cities

An event dedicated to artificial intelligence solutions for green and smart cities was organised as part of the EUonAIR European University Alliance Consortium, co-funded by the European Union.

Focusing on key urban challenges such as mobility, land-use planning, material reuse, and vehicle charging, the event built on the momentum of the student hackathon held last year. Throughout the day, citizens, entrepreneurs, local authority representatives, and economic stakeholders gathered to exchange ideas and explore innovative approaches to sustainable urban development.

Participants had the opportunity to discover four award-winning solutions developed by students during the hackathon. The event also encouraged attendees to challenge the proposed concepts, share user feedback, and suggest areas for further improvement.

Discussions brought together professionals and experts in digital technologies, urban planning, and local governance to examine the opportunities and impact of artificial intelligence applied to smart and sustainable territories.

The event was co-organised with TUBA (Lyon Urban Data), strengthening collaboration between academic, public, and innovation ecosystems.

Congratulations were extended to the students for the quality and creativity of the solutions presented, while organisers thanked all participants for contributing to insightful and engaging discussions.
