Representatives of the EUonAIR European University Alliance showcased the alliance’s growing impact and international collaboration initiatives during the ICP Network Meeting hosted by HOGENT in Ghent, Belgium.
In the last week of March, representatives of the EUonAIR European University Alliance participated in the annual ICP (Inter-University Cooperation Programme) Network Meeting at HOGENT, held as part of the university’s International Week.
The event brought together academic partners and higher education professionals from across Europe to exchange ideas and strengthen international cooperation. Representing HTW Berlin, coordinators Sarah Marx and Anne Hübinger, together with Claus Lange, presented the alliance’s activities and recent developments at HTW Berlin.
Their presentation, titled “Turning a Local Initiative into a European Strategy: From BeCOIL to EUonAIR,” highlighted the increasing visibility and impact of EUonAIR within the university. Key initiatives included the development of a comprehensive AI-focused course catalogue across alliance partners, the successful implementation of the first EUonAIR Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) at HTW Berlin, and the launch of the EUonAIR HTW Smart Cities Lab as both a physical and digital hub for applied artificial intelligence, collaboration, and urban innovation.
The presentation also outlined future developments within the alliance, including new Virtual Exchange formats such as additional Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes, the creation of the virtual campus MyAI University, and plans for joint Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes designed to strengthen the European higher education experience.
Participation in the ICP Network Meeting and HOGENT International Week further enabled EUonAIR representatives to connect with long-standing international partners and reinforce collaboration within a well-established network dedicated to advancing internationalisation in higher education.
