EUonAIR strengthening its presence in the global AI dialogue
Over the past months, EUonAIR has continued to expand its visibility and engagement across key Artificial Intelligence research, education and innovation networks, highlighting the Alliance’s commitment to advancing responsible, human-centred AI across Europe.
As part of these dissemination and externalisation efforts, the University of Piraeus, brought EUonAIR to the discussions of the international conference “Artificial Intelligence: Consequences and Limits” in Athens, organised in collaboration with Purdue University of Indianapolis.
A key highlight of the conference was Panel VII – “AI in Health”, moderated by Prof. Ilias Maglogiannis, Director of the Computational Biomedicine Laboratory at the Department of Digital Systems, University of Piraeus and EUonAIR's “Education for Students, Staff and Community” Committee Member. The panel brought together leading voices from academia, public institutions and the healthcare sector to discuss how Artificial Intelligence, computational intelligence and medical data can be transformed into meaningful impact for patients and society.
The discussion explored critical issues surrounding the implementation of AI in healthcare, including the convergence of computational intelligence and eHealth, responsible institutional governance, and the challenges of scaling AI solutions within healthcare systems.
Through active participation in high-level AI forums and interdisciplinary exchanges, EUonAIR continues to strengthen awareness of its mission: fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing and responsible innovation in Artificial Intelligence across the European higher education ecosystem.
