From shared ideas to joint degrees: Looking back at the EUonAIR WP2 Meeting in Heilbronn
How can European universities work together to develop joint educational programmes? And how can we turn different institutional strengths into shared learning opportunities? From 7–9 October, partners of the European University Alliance EUonAIR came together at Hochschule Heilbronn (HHN) to explore these questions, focusing on micro-credentials, joint degrees and the European Degree Label.
Over three days, we exchanged perspectives on joint educational formats and explored the opportunities and challenges of developing programmes across institutions and national borders. Expert contributions and interactive workshops provided valuable insights into micro-credentials, joint degrees and quality assurance, helping us identify common ground, explore potential partnerships and discuss concrete next steps. A special thank you to all our experts for sharing their knowledge and perspectives: Jens Boysen (Stadt Heilbronn), Gunther Friedl (Dieter Schwarz Stiftung), Ana-Maria Bodo-Hartmann (EVALAG), Bianca Thier (DHBW), Jochen Ehrenreich (DHBW), Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr.-Ing. habil. Javier Villalba-Diez (HHN, Quantum Computing), Sandra Bojang (IPAI).
Another highlight was the signing of a MoU with Campus Founders by Oliver Hanisch and Ralf Dillerup (Hochschule Heilbronn - Fakultät Wirtschaft). The meeting provided a wonderful setting for this milestone, laying the foundation for closer collaboration. We are delighted about this valuable partnership and look forward to the opportunities, ideas and innovation we will create together!
The openness and engagement throughout the meeting showed just how much potential lies in working together across the alliance. Thank you to all our partners for travelling to Heilbronn and contributing to three inspiring days of exchange and collaboration. We look forward to building on these discussions and turning shared ideas into concrete opportunities for students across Europe!
