ReTURN Supporting Mobility Handbook
Most universities treat mobility like a trip.
EUonAIR treats it like a learning system — and the most overlooked part is the one that decides whether mobility truly “sticks”: the return phase
Here’s what we’re building:
- HMSC — Holistic Mobility Support Center
A single, human-centred point of support across the entire mobility cycle (from “should I go?” to “how do I use this experience?”), designed to connect International Offices with Career Services so mobility and employability finally speak the same language
- RMAU — Return Mobility Assessment Unit
Embedded within HMSC, RMAU makes one bold move: it gives return the same importance as preparation and the mobility itself
Because coming home can be as challenging as leaving — and it’s where learning outcomes become clear, visible, and usable
What makes it innovative in practice?
- Structured debriefing + competence mapping after return
- Turning experience into recognisable competences (not just memories)
- Supported by tools like My Mobility Assessment Tool, producing a concise, anonymous PDF report owned only by the participant
If your institution wants mobility that creates long-term value, here’s the question:
What happens for your students and staff the week after they come back?https://mymobility.academy/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/EUonAIR_Handbooks-and-Manuals.pdf
