On January 19, 2026, HTW Berlin hosted a networking event introducing EUonAIR.
Representatives from European university alliances in Berlin and Brandenburg came together to exchange insights on shaping a connected European campus. Colleagues from TU Berlin (ENHANCE), FU Berlin (Una Europa), HU Berlin (Circle U.), Europa-Universität Viadrina (ERUA), BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg (EUNICE), Universität Potsdam (EDUC) and Herties School of Governance (CIVICA) were invited. HTW Berlin was also happy to welcome some external guests: Lena Gelhaar from Berlin Partner for Business and Technology, Bettina Bauer and Falk-Florian Hoene from the Brandenburg Ministry of Science, Research and Culture, and Kai Franke from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
Highlights included:
– A keynote by Prof. Dr. Katharina Simbeck AI in higher education
– Joint discussions on strategies for navigating the current political and economic landscape in higher education
– An exchange among students on their active role and involvement within the alliances
We believe that learning from one another is key to shaping an open, democratic, and international future for our students.
