Symposium "AI in Teaching" at HTW Berlin
The AI Symposium at HTW Berlin brought together professors and stakeholders to discuss the role of artificial intelligence in higher education.
The symposium was opened by Prof. Dr. Katarina Simbeck, Academic Lead of EUonAIR at HTW Berlin. She highlighted key biases and risks associated with emerging AI technologies, with a particular focus on de-skilling, and emphasized that new competencies are needed across all sectors to keep pace with these rapid developments.
Various presentations showcased current advances in the use of AI across different fields, ranging from Design Thinking and Art with AI to a ready-to-market AI study assistant developed by two HTW Berlin students.
The event concluded with an interactive brainstorming session, where participants explored and prioritized the next critical steps in this ongoing transformation.
