Research published by EUonAIR researchers from PJAIT
A research article co-authored by EUonAIR researchers from PJAIT has been accepted as a full paper for the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIED 2025), one of the world’s top AI-in-education conferences (800 submissions, 19% acceptance rate).
The paper titled "Boosting Data Literacy: The Role of AI in Teaching Detection of Deceptive Charts" tested an AI-powered Chrome plugin that teaches users how to recognize chart manipulation (N=234).
The results? After using the AI tool, all groups improved, with AI-assisted lessons performing just as well (or better) than traditional teaching methods.
The findings highlight the potential of AI-supported education to reduce susceptibility to deceptive charts, and therefore improve data literacy.
